Ostomy Support Group

Monthly Ostomy Support group here at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. Patients and their loved ones are encouraged to attend our informational monthly meetings covering many topics regarding ostomies:

• Free support group open to all community ostomates, family members, and caregivers

• Provides a welcoming space to connect with others who truly understand the ostomy experience

• Open to all ostomates — whether you are newly adjusting or have lived with an ostomy for years

• Share stories, ask questions, and learn from others in a supportive, judgment-free environment

• Discuss real-life challenges, tips, and solutions for daily living with an ostomy

• Helps build confidence, reduce isolation, and promote overall well-being

• Encourages education, empowerment, and community connection
