In partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) of SW Florida, Sarasota Memorial offers a specialty clinic for the treatment and management of all forms of Muscular Dystrophy and ALS. The Neuromuscular Disorders Clinic is staffed by dedicated physicians and specialists whose multidisciplinary approach ensures the best care for our patients.

MDA of Southwest Florida
The clinic's multidisciplinary team, including a neurologist, licensed therapist, MDA services representative, among others, gives patients the benefit of seeing many knowledgeable specialists at one convenient location. From initial diagnosis and testing to therapy and disease management, we guide patients through each step and customize care plans for each individual's needs and goals.

MDA Services
Services offered through the MDA are provided both in and out of our clinic setting. They may include obtaining and repairing durable medical equipment, summer camp programs, and other programs. MDA offers invaluable support through the disease process and provides tools and knowledge needed to navigate the healthcare setting. These resources can make a critical difference in understanding, managing and living with a neuromuscular disease.
