HealthFit Earns 'Medical Fitness Facility' Recertification

HealthFit - Powered by Sarasota Memorial announced today that it earned recertification as a Medical Fitness Facility by the Medical Fitness Association (MFA). HealthFit remains the only certified facility in Sarasota, and one of just two in the state.

Radiation Oncology Center Built Around 'Hope'

"Hope" was the enduring message at the "Sign the Wall" event on the construction site of the Sarasota Memorial Radiation Oncology Center. Event guests - more than 60 local cancer patients, physicians, hospital leadership and staff, oncology team members, project contractors and other community members - inscribed their own messages of hope on the walls of what will be the center's radiation vault.

SMH Breaks Ground on New Hospital in Venice

Sarasota Memorial marked an important milestone this week, breaking ground on its new hospital and 65-acre medical campus in Venice. City officials, community leaders, the elected hospital board, SMH staff, area residents and the new hospital's design/build team were on hand to celebrate the most significant expansion in the health system's 94-year history.
